Dangerous, defective product
By T. Wassink
I purchased this item 6 months ago. Until today it performed well (the box got hot, but not too hot). Today I was working and I smelled something burning, and then felt a very hot spot on my leg. I unplugged immediately, and found that a short in the wire had burned through it, and melted a small part of the back of my laptop (in the corner, well away from the electronics of the laptop) and that had burned my pant leg. I contacted Amazon and they refunded my purchase, but I want to warn people of this very real and very serious danger - and I can't contact the manufacturer as there isn't one listed in the description or on/with the product. I know that you get what you pay for, but regular failure is different than the risk of burning!

A working charger at a cheap price
By dkao
I own a Thinkpad r400 and wanted a second charger that I could carry around in my backpack so I wouldn't have to disconnect the power supply from my dock every time. This charger definitely works, and is also pretty light. It may not be an OEM power supply, but at $10, it was indubitably a worthwhile purchase.

Broke after 6 months
By Yiqin Shen
I used it as a backup charger in the office, worked great in the first 6 months, then stopped working out of the blue...
